Fed with non-GMO feed that was mostly BC-grown and raised the way nature intended—outdoors, on pasture, with plenty of room to roam, scratch, and forage. This slower, more natural lifestyle creates tender meat with rich, old-fashioned flavout you simply won’t find in supermarket birds raised in confinement.

About Quantum Farms 

Quantum Farm, run by Spencer Haywood, specializes in pasture-raised poultry and pork on 11 acres in the beautiful Passmore area.

Spencer is on a mission to bring locally raised pork and chicken back to the Kootenays. He secured one of the first Farm Gate Plus license in the region—an important step forward for small producers. This license allows farmers to once again slaughter, process and sell meat directly from their farms, a practice that was nearly wiped out by decades of over-regulation.

Spencer is currently the one of the few farmers in the Kootenays permitted to retail meat directly from his farm, and we’re proud to support his work. We’re thrilled to finally offer more truly Kootenay-grown meats!
