Delicata Squash

Description: Because of its edible skin and uniform shape, delicata squash requires very little preparation. A popular method is to cut it in half crosswise, scoop out the seeds, and slice it into rings. The pieces are then arranged on a baking sheet, drizzled with oil, sprinkled with salt, and roasted until tender.

Delicata has a flavor reminiscent of butternut squash—sweet and buttery—while also drawing comparisons to sweet potato, with its rich taste and moist, creamy texture.
