Progress Report

It took us weeks but we finally finished prepping and planted half of our garden. We pulled out a 1/4 acre's worth of sod clumps by hand and planted around 20 beds of veggies and flowers. Turning a field into a garden has been a monumental project. We have to keep pushing for a few more weeks but we're getting close to completion!

For Mother's Day we'll be delivering to Castlegar Friday evening between 4pm - 7pm.

Nelson deliveries will be on Saturday morning between 7am - noon.

About Our Bake-At Home Blueberry Pie with Crumble Topping

For this pie we started with a sweet and buttery shortbread cookie crust made with our freshly milled Red Fife flour. The Red Fife flour adds a nice nutty flavour.

For the filling we used frozen organic blueberries grown by Warkentin farm out of Abbotsford. We then added organic sugar and organic tapioca powder to thicken it. To finish it off we added a layer of crumble topping made with Soft White flour, butter, sugar and salt.

About Our Bake-At-Home Raspberry Sweet Buns

For our Raspberry Sweet Buns we started with organic white flour. The flour gives these buns a light and fluffy texture. We then added the filling which we made with cream cheese and freeze-dried organic raspberry powder.

To top it all off we have included a side of tangy vanilla cream cheese frosting. The whole wheat flour combined with the tangy frosting and sweet fruit swirls gives these raspberry sweet buns a unforgettable flavour.

Mother's Day Bake-At-Home Cinnamon Buns With Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting

Description: This year we’re offering two types of Cinnamon Buns - Original Whole Wheat and Classic White. For our Original Whole Wheat Cinnamon Buns we started with a 100% whole wheat pastry flavour. The whole wheat gives it an added depth of flavour. For the Classic White Cinnamon Buns we use organic white flour for its light and fluffy texture. We then added the filling, made from butter, brown sugar, a hint of organic nutmeg and our secret ingredient - organic true cinnamon.

True cinnamon is made from the tender inner bark of the cinnamon tree. It has a more subtle and elegant cinnamon flavour compared to the more commonly used cassia cinnamon, which can have a harsh and spicy cinnamon flavour.

To top it all off we have included a side of tangy vanilla cream cheese frosting. The whole wheat flour combined with the tangy frosting and sweet cinnamon swirls gives these cinnamon buns a great balance and an unforgettable flavour.

About Our Frozen Sourdough Waffles

Our frozen sourdough waffles are made with our freshly milled, organic flour that we source from a farm in Armstrong.

These are 100% whole wheat waffles which means they contain all of the nutrient rich and flavorful bran and germ. They are fermented for up to 5 hours which helps break down the wheat, releasing its vitamins and minerals and making it easier to digest. These waffles are nutritious, gut-friendly and won't leave you feeling bloated or tired after.

The sourness of the waffle combined with sweet maple syrup creates complexity and a remarkable depth of flavour.
